Pocklington Platform Festival 2017

Platform Festival is a four day music and comedy event staged in Pocklington’s historic Old Station

Launched in 2015 by the award-winning Pocklington Arts Centre, this is one local festival that goes from strength to strength. This year (12-15 July) will see another fantastic array of artists perform across three stages to over 3000 people featuring KT Tunstall, Ward Thomas, Newton Faulkner, The Levellers, Kate Rusby, Ross Noble plus lots more…  The event bars stock an award-winning range of craft ales, lagers, ciders, wines and fizz and outdoor caterers will be on site selling regionally sourced produce. Platform 2015 and 2016 both sold out and featured performances by Bellowhead, The Shires, The Magic Numbers and Gretchen Peters.

“We are extremely pleased with the line-up for this year’s event; I believe this reflects the national reputation the festival has already gained. The summer festival circuit is highly populated, so the fact Platform has established itself so quickly is very pleasing. The feedback from last year’s event was very positive and we hope the changes we have made for 2017 will improve and enhance the customer experience. Advance sales are going well for all four days, with advance booking advised,” says one of the organisers, James Duffy.
